Stag Party - Meatheads Style

This past weekend the Meatheads set out to do a pig roast for a lucky new couple. The Bride and Groom were very happy with what we produced, and we got many requests to "see the pig again." None of the pig went to waste, and even some of the bones were saved for some really lucky puppies.

Way to go Sean and Congratulations to the soon-to-be Newlyweds!

The countdown to Oinktoberfest is one week! Come out and see us Saturday or Sunday afternoon and get an idea of what we are all about. See here for more details. Hope to see you there!

Brockport BBQ & Music Festival - 2010

The Meatheads rolled into our third competition of 2010 with high hopes and expectations. The 1st Annual Brockport BBQ & Music festival was hosted by the Brockport Rotary club, and held on the SUNY Brockport Campus. The event marked the 3rd event held in Western New York this year, yielding a smaller venue catering to teams from Buffalo, Tonawanda, Rochester and other local based teams. That's not to say that the big teams weren't there, including Jacked Up BBQ and Skin & Bones.

Pig Roast / Family Reunion

It was a busy weekend for the Meatheads. The fun kicked off with a Pig Roast for one of our many supporters. Using our very own Trailer Cooker (designed and built by the team) we cooked a very nice looking pig.

Have Pig Will Travel

Special Thanks to Fred and Mary Cimato for supporting our BBQ adventures!

2010 Boston Hills BBQ Fest

As always, the Boston Hills event was a fun-filled weekend. Mike C. puts on a great show and the hospitality couldn't be better. We especially enjoyed the People's Choice competitions, as it really played to our strengths in getting the throngs of people into tasting what good BBQ really is, and hopefully inspiring some people to try a hand at it themselves. All in all, it was another great weekend of food and laughs.

KCBS Results from Roc City

With some very heavy competition, the Meatheads placed 26th overall out of 69 teams. The highlight was our 12th place Pulled Pork.

Congrats to all participants on a great weekend of Fun in the Sun!

NEBS results

The results are in for the NEBS competition in Roc City where the Meatheads took 2nd place in the pizza category. Using a simple white pizza cooked on the grill we were able to beat out some very tough competition in a very difficult category.

Looking forward to another day of BBQ tomorrow.

Roc City Rib Fest 2010

We've setup and are anticipating a great day of cooking tomorrow. Best of luck to all competitors!

Pig Roast

On August 16, John and Roy did a Pig Roast for some friends in Orchard Park.

The Pig was cooked on the Meatheads custom built Trailer Pig Roaster, using propane via the burners from 2 turkey fryers.

The Bills first Pre-Season game was that Sunday, and the tailgaters had quite a treat to see the still-cooking pig trailer heading by the stadium.

The roast was a success and the entire pig was enjoyed by all.
